Haruki Murakami 25/06/2010

Haruki Murakami's 'after the quake' is a beautifully emotive collection of short stories that I would advise anyone to open their mind to and give a try. I have probably read it about a billion times since Christmas 2008. My absolute favourite short in there is 'Thailand'. There's something very special about the way he describes detail with such aptness and warmth. Also lets not forget to mention it includes a short story about a super frog and a giant worm!

I would also suggest you follow on to  read 'The Elephant Vanishes'. I saw a theatre production of it many years ago and i was absolutely blown away. Having finally read the story so many years later, I couldn't even imagine how one could interpret that onstage! Amazing story about having insatiable hunger and robbing a bun bakery

Hi, this is my first official blog entry!
I'll be using this space as a place to put up all my own personal projects! Basically, any art I've seen, photo's I've taken, music, bands, books, theatre, photography, film, generally anything that's exciting.

who'd thought panorama on a broken phone could do this?
